Happy Monday, all! We have an awesome smoothie recipe that is sure to start your week off right. Loaded with sweet fruit, greens and tea- this smoothie is a sure stunner to your taste buds. We love that is just the right amount of sweet and is full of protein, fiber and potassium.
We are huge kale lovers over here so naturally we like to add greens to all smoothie recipes to amp up our fiber in take and increase our nutrients and vitamins for the day. We also adore flax seed and its heart healthy benefits and rich source of B-vitamins, so in it goes! If you’re feeling daring- add a tsp of spirulina powder to your smoothies for an ultra high protein, antioxidant and B-vitamin boost. It has a very earthy taste so we like to include a couple times a week in smoothies that tend to be a bit sweeter.
To blend this beauty we used our favorite kitchen appliance- The Ninja Ultima Pro that is our life line to creating our daily kale smoothies. It makes for a serious smooth consistency and offers 10 variable speeds with total crushing technology- we are huge fans! frozen banana, 1/2 cup
chilled green tea, 1 cup
frozen peaches, 1 heaping cup
honey, 2 tbsp
vailla extract, 1/2 tsp
greek yogurt, plain non-fat, 1/2 cup
ice, 1/2 cup
flax seed, 2 tsp
kale, 1/2 cup
spinach, 1/2 cup
blend ingredients to desired consistency
Add a pretty straw, Enjoy!
