Happy Thursday, mamas! We are finally dusting off the blog this week after a long couple weeks of Christmas, New Year and a huge case of the sickies. Like a domino effect, we all came down with the tummy bug and the flu, daddy included! You name it and I’m pretty sure our household had that specific germ, phew, it’s been a long New Year thus far. On the bright side, I think it’s safe to say we all should be healthy for a long while after doing our fair share of resting and movie watching.
While we rested and recuperated, this mama was able to get some much needed organizing done after the chaos of Christmas. There were Shopkins, Barbie shoes and too many My Little Ponies in the wrong bins and baskets. If you know me, you know I was dying inside, seriously cringing, I needed a little toy organization in my life ASAP! Once the kiddos were feeling up to par, we made our merry way to Target and picked up a few more baskets and bins for Sawyer’s new loot. We went through all of the existing bins and toy storage in Delilah’s play space and put each and every toy in the correct bin so that Delilah now knows where all of her toys are for when she is ready to play with them……this only took 125467334567 hours, but we finished!
We opened up each new toy and purged some of the older toys that Delilah no longer plays with. By the end of last week I was feeling accomplished and Delilah was thrilled with her well organized play room. In addition to organizing and de-Christmasing, we were able to test out and play with many of the toys that Santa brought. If you are like us, you probably still have several gift cards in your wallet that your babes acquired over the Holiday and are waiting to see what the kiddos don’t already have, if that is even possible, before taking a trip to the Toy Store for your little ones to pick out more toys….and then back to Target for more bins and baskets, sound about right?
To make your trip a little easier, we have rounded up a few of our babes favorite gifts this holiday that you may want to snag. These toys caught our little ones attention quickly and have remained favorites around these parts. Happy 2017, friends!
one//piano entertainer//Sawyer hangs in his piano and watches his sissy prance around the house. He loves sitting upright and enjoys being able to turn 360 degrees all by himself. This piano makes fun sounds and music and has several interactive musical toys attached for Sawyer to play with. He loves this toy and it gives him great exercise!
two//watch//this watch is pretty darn awesome and keeps Lilah entertained for hours. It boasts a camera with photo effects, video camera and voice recorder with voice-changing effects. She gets a total kick out of the voice changer and loves when daddy joins in on the fun, too! This watch also has a touch screen, 3 fun activities, 5 games, 3 action challenges and a motion sensor. If you have a little one who loves their electronics, but is still not yet old enough for that iPhone, this is the perfect compromise!
three//monster high mini packs//these fun packs pretty much made Delilah’s day. She calls them “blind bags” and gets so excited to see which monster high dolls she will get in each pack. She is so into these!
four//pie face showdown//this game made our holiday get togethers with cousins fun filled. We love this new version that allows two kiddos to face off at one time, so fun!
five//hippopotamus//projects vibnrabt stars in four different colors. Sawyer loves this in his room at night with its calming nature sounds. This toy is also voice activated and will respond to you a crying babe with calming music to lull him or her back to sleep.
six//doll//the Camille doll is Delilah’s favorite. She is obsessed with changing her into her pajamas and slippers before taking her on a stroll in her Ergo Baby Carrier.
seven//barbies//only the coolest barbies around town! Delilah thinks their clothes are fabulous. There are so many fun fashionistas with different styles available.
eight//peek & play book//a fun interactive book for baby to play with. Sawyer loves the sounds and bright colored pages.
nine//super heros//super heroes are where it’s at. Delilah was American Dream for Halloween and has been into super heroes ever since. She loves the action figures and plays with them all of the house. Her latest game is super heroes and barbies in her doll house.
