It’s Wednesday which means it’s hump day and us mama’s are in need of a little pick me up, am I right? With Spring and warm weather around the corner I wanted to share with you what our beauty regime is lately and what is working for us when it comes to healthy skin and healthy hair. A side note, we had the most amazing time in NYC with the kids and I’m currently working on our travel story to share with you, hoping for next week! The Sofitel was unbelievable and Midtown was the perfect area to stay with the babies as it was close to Rockefeller Center, Times Square and Central Park. We made so many memories and it was well worth the travel and packing for two littles for just the weekend.
Now back to the beauty routine. We have been using these products for about eight weeks now and have noticed a huge improvement in our overall hair and skin health. At about three months postpartum we noticed a ton of hair being shed. The shedding stopped around 6 months and we have been working to regrow our lost locks. After using the products below we now have a ton of hair regrowth and notice our hair is feeling healthy, hydrated and thicker!
My skin is much more dry after having children. I’m constantly battling for hydration that penetrates into my skin. Healthy skin that is hydrated makes for a much better makeup application, too! Your foundation will look more natural and less cakey if your skin is well primed. SPF is more important to me now than ever before. To prevent fine lines and wrinkles and help skin retain its youthful glow, a day time moisturizer with sun protection is essential. Read below for why we love these products and how we incorporate them into our daily routine.
Before we let you go, we have to mention that we are covering one awesome event tomorrow evening with some amazing digital influencers and expecting mamas. We are headed to the Mother of All Baby Showers to paruse, get educated and experience the latest and greatest of all things baby! Tune in to our IG stories to follow along and we will keep you updated through all of the fun. We are so excited!
…current beauty staples…
one//I use this mask once a week and it helps to hydrate my skin. I notice that it softens my smile lines and makes my skin feel fresh and smooth.
two//I like to keep one balm tin in my bathroom and one in my purse. I use daily and also swipe a little on my lips before I put lipstick on for a smooth application of color.
three//hands down the best leave in conditioner that I have used. It detangles and softens without leaving my hair greasy. I use this on clean towel dried hair and then I brush through with my wet brush.
four//after having Sawyer I had the postpartum hair shed pretty bad. I was losing a ton of hair for about three months straight. I have so much regrowth on my head right now that it looks like fuzz sticking straight up. The Nioxin hair booster has helped me regrow my lost hair and fast! I massage this into my scalp after I use my leave in conditioner. It’s a little pricey but well worth the splurge, mamas!
five//I love this moisturizer for evening. It hydrates while helping my skin retain its elasticity. I massage this into my skin after cleansing and before bed. Love the scent of this, too!
six//after I have cleansed, moisturized and put on my eye cream I like to spritz this rose water all of my face for extra hydration. This is nice to spray in the morning as an energizer and mid-day for an added pick me up.
seven//this is a miracle worker! I apply before bed and it helps big time with fine lines, dark circles, and wrinkles. It hydrates and promotes younger looking skin around the eye. Love that it doubles as a lip conditioner.
eight//I will not use any other brush to detangle. My hair is fine and tangles easily, this brush feels amazing and does the job without breaking or pulling my hair.
nine//this shampoo works wonders if you’re trying to grow your hair and keep it strong and healthy. It contains jamaican castor oil, apple cider vinegar and peppermint that nourishes the scalp, removes product build up and balances the PH level of your hair and scalp giving your hair follicles a healthy environment for optimal growth.
ten//this conditioner stimulates the scalp, promotes healthy hair growth and reduces shedding. It keeps my hair shiny and soft and doesn’t weight down my fine tresses.
eleven//twice a week I massage into my scalp and keep on for two hours to promote hair growth and a healthy scalp. I tend to get a dry scalp and this helps to hydrate. I always do this mask on the evenings I wash my hair because it is a super oily mask. I have noticed that I shed less hair since applying this hair mask. I also brush onto my brows before bed to help thicken using an old mascara wand.
twelve//I use this light weight formula for day time and love it! I have recently had IPL treatments to a few broken capillaries on my face and SPF is crucial for this treatment. This moisturizer works great under makeup and aids in a smooth application of foundation.
thirteen//super gentle on my sensitive skin and it smells amazing. I love that it removes my makeup gently and leaves my skin soft and clean without feeling drying. I’m all about this creamy face wash and its delicate rose scent.
fourteen//I pretty much can’t function without dry shampoo. I use this just about every day and it ensures I’m half way presentable when I drop Lilah off at school and run errands during the daily grind. Love the divine dark because it doesn’t leave white residue on my brunette color.
