Hey friends! We are back from vacay and are getting back into the swing of things around here which has been a challenge as we are all still on island time…or we wish we were still on island time, rather. We had the most amazing trip to The Franklyn D. Resort and enjoyed endless jerk chicken dishes and fruity cocktails and mojitos while on the beach and poolside. Delilah and Sawyer had the sweetest nannies (included in your stay) which gave the hubby and I some time to relax and enjoy each other. Stay tuned for our travel story, we are so excited to share all of the deets with you soon, yeah mon!
For the past thee days we have been unpacking and getting all of this laundry done before the weekend because who wants to be doing chores on the weekend, am I right?! This mama is on the hunt for area rugs on Saturday so I must check laundry off the list if I want to maximize my shopping trip. Have any suggestions for where I should go to shop for pretty area rugs? I’m thinking a natural rug for the morning room, sisal or jute, and a patterned rug for the family room with light blue and gray hues. My first stop will be Home Goods and from there who knows…perhaps a visit to T.J. Max? Send me all the tips mamas, please and thank you!
While we were away we had all of our wood floors refinished and added hardwood to a few areas including our stair well and family room. Although the refinishing process is complete we still need to limit the traffic on the floors and wear socks so that the wood will cure properly. This means that we have been mostly confined to our bedrooms with limited access to the middle level, seriously not cool when you have very mobile 10 month old who is looking to play and explore. Anyhoo, I am loving this renovation and especially love our new wooden steps and railing but I am so ready for our furniture to be put back in to place so that these kiddos can get back to their normal routine. Send me all the happy vibes….
With Mother’s Day coming up I wanted to share with you one of my new favorite cosmetic lines that I have been using for a few weeks. Whether or not you are looking to purchase new spring and summer makeup or give as a gift for Mother’s Day, Catrice Cosmetics will have you covered with pretty plumping gloss, bronzing powder and creamy lip color that will have you feeling feminine and fabulous. The lip booster is my favorite and I like to wear it by itself for the usual run around with the kids and also over top of my two favorite lip colors for special occasions and date nights with the hubby.
The lip colors are silky, creamy and do not feel “cakey” if you reapply through out the day. I adore these nude hues and love that they keep my lips moisturized. The bronzing powder and brush give just enough color for a subtle sunny glow. I adore this matte finish bronzer as it looks super natural without added shimmer and blends well over top of my CC cream. Go check em’ out and add these favorites to your mama list!
