TGIF! It’s Friday and we are about to get festive tonight. We are on our way to a caroling dinner and are taking Delilah along with us for a special night out. She is thrilled to have the evening to herself and mentioned that she has been so excited to sing and see Christmas lights that she wrote about it in her journal at school this morning, and then I cried an ugly cry because she is so darn sweet and her joy is so pure and completely endearing. After dinner we are topping the night off with a Christmas light show, sweet treats and more holiday tunes.
This weekend Delilah has a couple birthday parties to attend that include painting and a movie at the theatre. She is equally excited to spend some time with her friends outside of the everyday school setting and has carefully pick out a special gift for each of them. On Sunday we are headed to Pop and Gigi’s to help decorate the exterior of their home.
Pop holds this gathering every year and is so cute and inviting with his spiked cider and pizza for his visitors. Our entire family comes together to help string the lights and perfectly place the Santa’s and wreaths all around their home. While the kiddos help decorate the yard, Gigi and I start on the interior. I look forward to this day all year. It’s nostalgic and so incredibly special to see the decorations from when I was young being enjoyed by my own children.
Now that we are only three weeks away from Santa’s arrival, who is knee deep in their shopping and running around pondering what those sweet little babes really want to see when they tear away all of that festive wrapping? We have pulled ten hot toys this year that will be sure to make your gift one to remember for that special kiddo in mind. Many of these items we own and utilize on the daily but there are a few that made our littles Christmas list this year too. Check them out and read why these hot toys are the “it gifts” this season!
…Holiday Gift Guide…
one//These wooden puzzles are perfect for both toddler and kindergartners. Sawyer loves playing with the pieces and works hard to try and place them properly while Delilah uses them to help spell site words. A perfect gift to help with letter recognition and early reading.
two//Little people are a favorite around here and Sawyer adores the few that he has in his playroom. He is hoping Santa will bring this adorable farm playset this year. This playset includes fun songs, animal sounds, phrases and a light that turns on & pops open the stall doors. Its equipped with farmer Jed figure and 4 animal figures-pig, chicken, horse & a cow with her calf.
three//Barbie is always top on the list over here but this Barbie and interactive horse is way hot this year with Delilah and her friends at school. This pretty white horse responds to actions and touch with more than 30 realistic reactions while it also walks forward and rotates 360 degrees. Your little babe can also feed her horse with an included bunch of carrots. Barbie’s horse will nuzzle in response to her touch and nod yes or no when asked a question.
four//We had the opportunity last winter to travel to NYC with both babes and visit the American Girl Store along with the many gorgeous sites to see in the Big Apple. Delilah was in awe with the countless dolls and intricate accessories that American Girl has to offer. Not only can your babe enjoy dolls that represent different times throughout history but they can also design a doll that looks just like them, eye, hair color and all. Delilah has had her eye on the Truly Me Doll for a year now and is hoping Santa will deliver this beauty under the tree this year. We love American Girl not only for their beautifully made dolls and accessories but also for what they represent to our children, the importance of kindness, friendship and togetherness. There is always something fun for your babe and doll to enjoy, lunch or tea at the cafe, a trip to the salon for fancy hairstyling and ear piercing or even fun matching outfits to wear for a day out on the town. The Truly Me Doll takes the cake for uniqueness, quality and individuality.
five//The original razor kick scooter is always a favorite. The sleek design, splash of color and lightweight deck make for an ultra smooth and fast ride. Love that this model has a rear fender brake. Pair it with a super cute helmet!

Their hatchimal will even repeat what they say in its own voice! Each hatchimal is born with twinkling wings and soft, shimmering fur and is looking for lots of love and care.
