Happy Humpday, friends! We have Spring fever like crazy over here and although it was a little chilly and windy this morning, I bundled up the kiddos, wrapped them in blankets and strolled them up to the nearby bagel shop for a sweet little breakfast out. Delilah opted for her plain bagel with butter while Sawyer downed some apple yogurt and honeydew that I packed for him. I sipped on my usual iced coffee and stole a few bites of Lilah’s bagel, I’m like the pet dog that begs for the scraps at every meal, no but really! We needed a little fresh air to get our daily grind started today. Sometimes you just need to leave the house to get a little motivation to take on the chores, the kiddos, the day!
On the way home we stopped by Gigi’s to take a look at her kitchen renovation…oh.my.gosh…..it is beautiful! We can’t wait to whip up a little sweet treat in her gorgeous bright white space. It will be the perfect photo op! Once we got back home from our morning outing we had a little play time, watched Moana and then it was time to put the babes down for a nap so that I could finish shooting some product that we will be sharing soon, think Mothers Day Gifts! In between shooting, I worked on the laundry, made beds, ya know the mid-week to do list.
Tomorrow we are having lunch with Casi, our good friend from CupcakeMag, and we are excited to work, brainstorm, and have a little girl time. In the afternoon, the hubby and I have a conference for Lilah at her pre-K school. In this conference we will talk about her progress, strengths, weaknesses and how prepared she is for Kindergarten.
For some reason I never get concerned about conferences for Lilah. She has a strong personality, catches on quick at school and tends to be a leader. She loves to be included in anything and everything which makes for great participation. Although I do worry about what my emotional state will be when she gets on the school bus and waves good bye, I know in my heart she will have the best time and make the best memories in her new school with lots of new friends, she is ready for this adventure.
