Today was the perfect Spring day, 78 degrees and sunny! It was a school day for Delilah and she was pumped to play with her friends outside on the playground. Her teachers usually take the class outdoors to eat lunch when the weather is nice, which also had Delilah excited to start her day bright and early. She was thrilled that she didn’t have to wear a coat and was able to rock her favorite tee without the added bulk. She dressed herself, per usual, and picked floral leggings and her favorite Frozen tee that is about two sizes too small; nonetheless, perfect for the pretty weather. She was ready to celebrate the sunshine in her best outfit.
Although the weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed most of the day Sawyer woke up with an irritated eye that later blew up into a bad allergic reaction that threw us for a loop and had this mama ridiculously worried. We took him to the pediatrician this afternoon who concluded that he needed an antihistamine to bring down the reaction. A precise dose of Bemedryl and our little Sawyer was back to normal by bedtime. We are still in the dark about what made his eye swell up so suddenly, we hadn’t tried new food, detergent, etc. Just one of those things that makes mama’s go nuts. Anyway, he is happy as ever and back to his normal sweet self.
We will be back at the peds office on Thursday for Sawyer’s nine month checkup which is perfect timing for a recheck of his allergic reaction. Can we talk about how Sawyer is going to be nine months in just a few short days? I’m pretty sure I was just here writing about his first days home, sharing his newborn photos and tender first moments with his big sister. He is growing so fast and looking less like a baby and more like a toddler every day. I’m trying to savor his baby smell, before I know it that too will be gone and I will be a mess….yep, a total mess, I’m not ready! Although he’s growing at an exponential rate and getting more vocal and mobile everyday, one thing has stayed the same. He loves his Dockatot!
We have recently upgraded from the deluxe docking station to the grand so that he has a little more wiggle room. He adored his deluxe staton but is now infatuated with his grand. He has ample room to roll over, spread out and stretch his legs. He gets nestled in the comfy padding and falls asleep after nursing like a charm. He is sitting up and crawling a bit and loves it when I bring the grand docking station to the main level so that he can sit in it and play with his toys while watching his favorite show, Barney and Friends. The grand docking station is his own little space to romp around and get cozy in.
We love the Dockatot for its breathable, washable and hypoallergenic materials. All filling materials offer hygienic and non-toxic properties. The Dockatot grand is ideal for babies 9-36 months. It makes the perfect space for lounging, resting, playing and cuddling. Shop the travel bag for this docking station to make traveling with your babes beloved lounging space a breeze this Spring and Summer!
