Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s been a fun filled month of summer and birthday party celebrating over here. Our Sawyer just turned one year old on July 6th and we celebrated him with a birthday hoorah at our home last weekend. His party was golf themed, seemed appropriate since the hubby is such a golf fan, and we decorated with the cutest hand-made golf themed party decor and sweet treats to celebrate his special day with our closest family. I am still pondering how my itty bitty newborn is now a bonified toddler and running around chasing his big sissy all through the house. Weren’t we just talking about his newborn sleep schedule? We have made so many special memories this past year and I am so thankful to have this healthy baby boy that is one genuinely happy brother and chunky monkey.
Delilah helped to pick out his golf themed cake, smash cake and party banners that she ever so carefully helped me secure with burlap string and double sided tape. The color scheme was navy, green and gold with a pop of red, think lots of golf ball and flag pole accessories. We catered the event with golf-club sandwiches, on par side salads, a caddy buffet, hole in one donuts, arnold palmer spritzers and putter poppers that hit the spot and kept the kiddos entertained. Of course we had a watering hole for the kiddos with fun juices and decorated water bottles. Delilah was so excited to celebrate her baby brother with her sweet cousins and partied the day away with an inflatable jumpy jump and golf put-put in the back yard. We are looking forward to sharing a few of our favorite images of the event with you all soon!
While we are enjoying swim team, birthday celebrations and summer sunshine we are also excited for Shark Week that is quickly approaching. Raise your hand if you are glued to the specials about these amazing creatures with a big bowl of popcorn?! Delilah watches Shark Week like it’s her job and is thrilled to introduce Sawyer to this week of aquatic adventure. To get Sawyer ready for his first Shark Week we have him geared up with Skip Hop’s Snazzy Shark Backpack and Straw Bottle.
The Zoo Collection is an essential of our family and never disappoints with it’s wide array of sweet characters and themes. The backpack is the perfect size for Sawyer to tote around his snacks, drink cup, diapers, wipes and a few favorite “on the go” toys. I love that this backpack will carry him into pre-school while doubling as the perfect carry on for family travel in the mean time. It’s durable fabric is a breeze to clean and includes the perfect sized pocket to fit his cup or sun screen. The straw bottle is the perfect transition from the bottle to sip his water and milk while sitting pool side or hanging with his sissy at meal time. If you’re looking to make this years Shark Week one to remember go shop Skip Hop and excite the kiddos with The Zoo collection in Snazzy Shark!
