Happy New Year, friends! We are officially back to school and getting back in a routine after the glorious week off for the holidays. While Delilah was on break we attempted to do all the festive activities some of which included a viewing of The Nutcracker at our local theatre, a visit to the fire department to see the train garden, gingerbread house making, a visit to Santa, and more recently, a celebration for the New Year.
Things have change a bit for the hubby and I since our babes have been born. We now opt to stay in with the kiddos and celebrate with sparkling apple cider, decorative hats, and noise makers. We try hard to stay awake for the ball to drop by playing board games, putting together puzzles and snacking on our favorite foods, but with no prevail, the four of us are sound asleep well before the New Year, Tucker included.
Earlier in the day we took the kiddos to a New Years at Noon party where we celebrated with friends and several other families with young babes. It was a festive gathering with a photo booth, DJ, games for the kids and a large balloon drop to celebrate the New Year. The hubby and I sipped on our favorite cocktail while we watched the kiddos get down on the dance floor with their New Years inspired apparel, it was perfect! After a long morning of ringing in the New Year we put the kids down for a nap while we prepared our New Years Eve dinner.
Along with the New Year celebration comes a new slate for one to work on their resolutions to better themselves and quality of life. Like most years, my resolutions include taking care of myself and my family with a healthier meal plan. I will also strive to be more organized and proactive in preparing meals for my family during the week. There is always so much on our daily to do list that it can be hard to prepare a well rounded meal that doesn’t take an arm and a leg to serve. With Delilah in school and extracurriculars, Sawyer needing constant attention during the day, I am always on the search for meals that everyone will enjoy with very little prep. If you are a mother, you know this task is hard, very very hard. To please the hubby, babies and yourself is a job in itself, am I right!?
On New Years Eve we tried The Original Alfredo Sauce and all we have to say is WOW! This is the perfect meal to add to your weekly menu. I was delighted by the taste of this sauce and the little amount of time it took to pull this meal together, a win win! This sauce is all natural and pairs perfectly with a colorful house salad and crusty bread. The perfect blend of parmigiano-reggiano cheese, butter, olive oil and skim milk make this sauce a new essential in our home for The New Year.
We followed the directions on the back of the packaging and boiled the egg noodles until al dente. After draining the noodles and reserving a little past water, we added The Only Original Alfredo Sauce right back into the pot alongside the al dente egg noodles and reserved pasta water. It took approximately 10-12 minutes for this delicious pasta to be served, incredible! In fact, I was so pleased with this sauce that I brought a tub up to Gigi’s house for lunch yesterday while Delilah was in school. Not to worry, Delilah was as happy as a clam that she had left overs from lunch for dinner as one tub of The Original Alfredo Sauce will feed a family of four easy peasy!
If you are like me, a mama who is looking to make the every day grind easier, healthy and well balanced, you must check out The Original Alfredo Sauce!
